a multi-discipline acrobatics and contemporary circus creation house based in the UK,
focussed on combining high level acrobatics and physical theatre with live music.
FAUNA Circus was formed in 2016 by six world class performers from around the globe - five acrobats who met at the world's leading circus school, Sweden's DOCH, and an award winning live musician - when they were offered a British Arts Council grant to develop and present part of a show at the Glastonbury Festival of Performing Arts. From there, the 2017 Adelaide Fringe Festival was an opportunity to develop a full length show, receiving 5 star reviews, a Best Circus and Physical Theatre award, and the Emerging Artist award. Further creation followed with multiple residencies in Sweden, Germany, and the Czech Republic, before showcasing the finished version of their self-titled "Fauna" at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, winning the Total Theatre & Jacksons Lane award for Best Circus.
And that was just the beginning...
